fixing your bathroom is fun to do

We live in the basement of an older house down on 'The Island'. Life here is enjoyable most of the time. We occasionally have to deal with the quirks that come with living in an old house. Like when the bathroom ceiling caves in and falls into your toilet.

Or when the trees around your house are so old and huge you don't get much sunlight. This is especially detrimental to our garden's growth! So Jon-David took the liberty of cutting down some branches with a hand saw.

Even more disastrous was the canal break that happened last weekend a couple blocks away from our house. It caused a mud slide demolishing one house with a mom and two kids inside, and caused a lot of damage to our ward's neighborhood. Last Sunday we only had church for one hour and then we got put to work helping spray mud off of lawns and sidewalks, making food for the refugees, and finding clothes for the families who had lost all of theirs. It was really moving to see the out pour of help.
