We took a road trip upstate with our little Chinese Branch yesterday. Aren't they adorable?
This little girls grandparents are visiting from China and we got to drive up with them. They were so sweet and kept insisting we forgo our own lunch and eat lunch they packed consisting of boiled eggs, corn on the cob, flat bread and some kind of beef? I forgot that it's pretty much culturally impossible to stop eating until everything is eaten...I had to hide stuff in my lunch bag to pretend I was eating it. The little girl kept saying how her grandpa's feet were 'Chou! Chou! Chou!' (stinky).
Fortunately a giant Mastiff showed up to our picnic table and they fed him a lot too.
Can you come home with me?
In our branch we have 12 missionaries and more are coming.... exorbitant! They fill up half of the seats in the chapel, and they serve their entire mission in our branch-unless they get lucky and get one transfer upstate. But it just goes to show how much work there is happenin' here.
